iSTAR Pulsar

the announcement of the iSTAR Pulsar is _very_ interesting, congratulations!

When do you plan to provide more information about:
- the pricing and availability of the product
- the specs and pricing of the companion cloud services
- the format of the produced data
- the software provided to visualize, exploit the produced data, like a web viewer ...
and maybe:
- sample data
- video demos for those of us who can't visit you at Geo Business

Lots of questions, and a lot of excitement :-)!

Thanks in advance,

After having read carefully the information provided by your web site I have questions about
the iSTAR Pulsar Processing Costs and more specifically about its VR.World facet:

- download of data:
- what is the format of the produced data, does it include the position of each picture and its depth map or any other form of 3D information?
- if I choose to download my data, is it erased for your servers?
- Publish to Google Street View Included:
- is publishing to Google Street View systematic or optional: can I choose to not publish my data to GSV?

- does the iSTAR Pulsar expose the Open Spherical Camera API?

Hi Phillipe,

To answer your questions:

- what is the format of the produced data, does it include the position of each picture and its depth map or any other form of 3D information?

The format is:

  1. Stitched 11000 x 5500 px equirectagular spherical images in .png file format
  2. preview 2000 x 1000 360 video in H.264 .mp4 format
  3. source GPS data in .csv format
  4. source IMU data in .xls format

Yes it includes the position of each picture. No it doesn't include a depth map or any other form of 3D information.

- if I choose to download my data, is it erased for your servers?

That's up to you. You can either leave the data on our servers for which a monthly hosting fee will be applicable or you can delete the files from our servers.

- is publishing to Google Street View systematic or optional: can I choose to not publish my data to GSV?

Assuming you've purchased the iSTAR Pulsar - VR.World model, it's optional.

- does the iSTAR Pulsar expose the Open Spherical Camera API?

Yes, however we have an extended version of the OSC API to which not all commands are yet exposed.

1. What are differences between Pulsar and Pulsar+?

2. What does the software data formation makes? IS it necessary for capture data?

3. Is there hardware trigger built inside any camera ?

4. How to connect external IMU and GPS to Pulsar? IS it possible to add PPS signal to PULSAR? Are Trimbe GPS and Applanix IMU  both supported by Pulsar?
